Amfibian Featuring Phish lyricist Tom Marsall Longtime Phish partner in crime Tom Marshall returns to the spotlight with Amfibian boasting a brand spanking new lineup. Tom's comfortably unconventional lyrical vision is complimented by co-writer Chris Metaxas's simplistically elegant musical framework and the blazing hot guitar licks of former Lenny Kravitz and Spin Doctors collaborator Anthony Krizan, as well as a little lyrical and musical nudge from Vermont friends Trey Anastasio and Seth Yacovone. Riding on a melodic center while flirting with a ferociously evil undercurrent, their album, From the Ether , released in January 2004, creeps up from the bottom only to pull you under with a poetic yank. The band is currently putting the finishing touches on their newest album, soon to be released. Featured Artists : Mayfair Festival of the Arts, Stockton Performing Arts Center, B.B. King's Blues Club NY, Susan G. Komen Foundation Race for the Cure Philadelphia, Wetlands NY, The Middle East, Higher Ground, Crossroads and tours throughout the East Coast and Midwest. |
